This season we have worked around the clock to develop our new and improved classic Himalayan range. We have improved both the fit and the feel of the knits, making them even more comfortable and durable to wear.

We’ve updated the design to be more lightweight and updated the Gandys detail on the hem and added the Gandys kingfisher detail on the cuff. This enviably effortless knit comes in 6 different colours and will be sure to keep you warm on both urban and rural adventures, or simply relaxing around the fire pit.

The iconic Himalayan flags in Nepal were the source of inspiration for this range. We have also added in two super casual designs to our knitwear collection in Khaki and Charcoal that are unisex and for those not after the chunky style knit!

It was important for us to incorporate the multicoloured flags and make this the main focus for the colour palette of the jumpers, bringing variety to the collection. The intricate designs encompass the most profound concepts of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. The Tibetan flags are simple devices that, coupled with the natural energy of the wind, quietly harmonise the environment, impartially in increasing happiness and good fortune among all living things.

Nepal is more than a source of inspiration to Gandys. In 2015, Nepal suffered one of the worst earthquakes in world history, leaving thousands of people homeless, killing 9,000 people and injuring 22,000. We felt that we had to help out in some way, as we have experienced first hand the physical and mental trauma these tragic events bring - so on the 15 year anniversary of the Boxing Day Tsunami, it was only right that we built a new Kids Campus there.
